I absolutely loved Calvin and Hobbes. I was disappointed when I learned that Watterson was quitting, but I also understood his reasons for it. One of the best comic strips of all time.

Interestingly, if you look it up on Wikipedia, apparently Robotman was asked to be a character in Calvin & Hobbes but Bill Watterson said no. I had no idea about that when I brought it up in this thread.
